Accessible learning
Sessions aim to be engaging for people of different ages, abilities and backgrounds, with the experience adapted to the audience.
Zyta combines practical animal-care experience, academic study and education to help people connect with animals they might otherwise never meet — in a way that feels warm, safe and genuinely memorable.
Zyta's love of unusual animals began while she was growing up in Cyprus. After moving to the UK, that curiosity continued and, by the age of nine, she was already keeping exotic pets. The first was an Indian stick insect called Frank; over time her experience grew to include reptiles, amphibians, mammals, fish, invertebrates and birds.
She went on to study animal care at college and Zoology at university. Alongside her studies, she developed practical experience through animal-industry work including zookeeping, aquatics and specialist reptile care.
In 2023, Zyta moved into education and realised those two parts of her life could work together. Zyta's Creatures grew from the idea that learning about animals should be accessible, memorable and grounded in good welfare.

These moments give a better feel for how Zyta works: calm handling, friendly conversation and lots of chances for people to get involved at their own pace.

Zyta's guiding view is that keeping animals is a privilege. Captive animals should be given the opportunity to thrive, not simply survive.
Meeting an animal can open conversations about behaviour, adaptations, conservation and why misunderstood species deserve respect.

Party sessions can be lively and celebratory; school and education sessions can go deeper into the science; group and event bookings may need a completely different pace. Zyta adapts the encounter to the audience and setting while keeping welfare and safe participation central.
